In the heart of Winnipeg sits an established and beautiful old neighborhood call River Heights. On a small infill development in the middle of that neighborhood, Pioneer Building has built a show home truly considerate of the classic character of its surroundings.
Modern, yet warm and classic in its design, it bridges the gap between the heavier historical designs of the past and the minimalist designs more common today.

With a hint of the warmth of your grandmother’s living room yet filled with daylight, this room show cases both the larger baseboard and the substantial casings that elegantly frame the windows.
This barn door is a custom work with plant on mouldings by All Seasons Carpentry – a premier finish carpentry company in Winnipeg, who installed all the woodwork in this house. Their fine craftsmanship adds a special accent and character to the home.
Here in this closed stair case that could easily have been neglected, the balance is again found using a large traditional box newel, painted white and the dark stained oak handrail.
